Canadian jazz trio BadBadNotGood have gone from hip-hop covers to producing for up-and-coming rappers to today’s announcement of a full LP collaboration with Ghostface Killah. While covering their rise from internet fame earlier this summer I wondered whether they would focus on group albums or dive further into the production and collaboration. The release of today’s news brings an answer and a new track with Ghost and El-matic-rapper Elzhi. “Gunshowers” is likely the second track that will make the coming LP, called Sour Souls. “Six Degrees” will likely make the tracklist as well. The guitar loop and drums are simple and eerie, and Ghost weaves through them with the same classic flow, still fresh from the 36 Chambers.
